It was nice to see that Odo isn't indestructible.  Up the this point I was wondering.

I agree completely.  I think her backstory, what with the horrors of the Cardassian occupation and all, is supposed to buy our indulgence toward her general whinyness and sullenness, but I just doesn't fly with me.  It never feels earned. She's had a few decent moments, and has grown on me a bit, but she's still

"Crossover" was kind of enjoyable.  I'm not nearly as big a fan of Kira as most Niners seem to be. One thing I disagree with from Handlen's review is that I thought this episode was PLENTY campy.  Brooks' giggling and overacting made it impossible to take his part of the story seriously, and Visitor's hammy attempts

Not really.  What you are talking about is impossible. Technobabble, if written correctly, is of indeterminate plausibility.

I always get a hankering to listen to "Skylarking" around this time of year.  Which is a bit off, since the album is meant to thematically go through the whole season cycle, if you will. But starting out with "Summer's Cauldron" and "Grass" as it does always makes it feel like a summer album to me.

I guess my only point was that if the technobabble doesn't change how the plot advances, then it's harmless. Indeed, it adds to the "futuristic" atmosphere.  In this case, the point was that Bashir wasn't going to get the Cardassian medical records in time.  That was how the plot was going to progress regardless of

Yeah. 7 was actually a really good character, especially later in her run.  Sure, they were consciously going for sex appeal with the character, but when people pigeonhole her as just a fanservice character I actually find that more sexist than the catsuit and fanservice tself.

Having worked a few years as a librarian under both systems I can say, yes, the LoC system is much better. Although, the geek in me is still fond of pointing out that one of my favorite authors, Isaac Asimov, is the only author to have had works published in all categories of the Dewey Decimal system (though his only

I really liked Coolio at the time and that kinda killed a lot of my respect for him. Apparently, at least the story went at the time, that Coolio thought "Gansta's Paradise" was too "important" to be parodied. And I remember thinking. No Coolio. NO work of art, ever, is too important to be parodied.
