I don't think Alexis Bedel was ever compelling. She was fine in the early season because she was young but her playing grown up reporter was not believable at all

Yeah I was surprised to learn Lauren never won an Emmy for GG.  She could do it all perfectly.  I loved her physical comedy bits like falling over the table and walking into doors when she realized Luke was into her.  Great stuff

I'd love to know if it was true that LG and SP really didn't like each other much

The problem with the April storyline is the writers turned Luke into some sort of pod person because of her.  God I hated him most of S6

season 6 was tough too with Luke's long lost daugher plotline and Luke turning into a total asshole.

I just watched all 7 seasons of this show this year and loved it. I think the first season is one of the most enjoyable seasons of a show I've ever seen.  The last 2 seasons were subpar(Argh at what they did to Luke in S6 with that ridiculous lost daughter plotline)  but overall I really enjoyed the show.  It's one of

Meh. I thought the actor who plays Louis kind of blew the scene. Not very convincing

For me its just that Sutton Foster can't deliver ASP's lines quite like Lauren Graham did on GG.  LG has a charm that Sutton can't match.

I found it so cliched how the show puts forth this myth of the guy who acts
obviously not interested at first and behaves like a real dick towards her but deep down is secretly madly in love with her,  wants to be her boyfriend and can make a quick
transition to being a loving and devoted one, and wants to move in

Lots deserve recognition for their work but never get it.
