The question is who the listener is. I know that at the time of my life that I listened to Daydream Nation, it was the perfect starting album for me.
I hope you realize that by getting this from a library you are stealing food out of the mouths of record executives and putting it in the mouth of government bureaucrats that max out at 60,000 dollars/ year.
Yeah, Sonic Youth definitely passes the test. But I think Pavement does too. I am a notoriously easy grader.
I agree, really. I love all those albums. I just think Daydream Nation is just the best place to start. I think I am going to listen to Sonic Youth the rest of the day. Perfect cure for this schoolwork and Sparklehorse induced depressive mood.
Starting at Daydream Nation is really the only correct answer. It's certainly more accessible than EVOL and more meaningful and artistic than Goo.

In some belief systems can't gods exist in multiple forms at once (what am I saying, even in the Christian belief of the trinity this occurs). What if Raava is both part of Korra and the Dragon Phoenix? The way that she carried the dragonbird seemed like a callback to Wan carrying Raava in the teapot.
