I'd add Greenberg to this list. Even though I enjoyed The Comedy, Greenberg kind of nailed the aging hipster jerk thing better. And it had that really uncomfortable oral sex scene, yeesh!

Hot Hot Heat was the first club show I saw after turning 18. The drummer stopped mid song to fucking tear through a dude in the crowd for shoving a girl (for a tame band he was pretty imposing). Then the clearly uncomfortable singer gave the girl a bottle of wine.
