This is the first 'Lucas messes with the films, again!' story that I've heard and had no reaction to… really, I could give a shit…  I think I may finally be ready to move on.

Yeh, that's why I liked the ending anyway, no matter how it veered off of the format (if it did) - it was cool to see him throw himself at the evil once he saw it was real.

It's been awhile, but I think the deal was that there was one cameraman, and you see him getting killed, then I *thought* that it totally abandoned that camera's point of view, (or one of the attackers picked up the camera at that point.)

preacher found his faith and confronted bonfire-y demon.. meanwhile, the movie entirely abandoned the 'filmed as documentary' conceit to bring this last part to the viewer.. but I didn't mind so much, I dug the whole movie.
