I agree it was disjointed, and also maybe a bit too confusing, although that could be because I had difficulty hearing some people's lines. But it also did a lot of world building and felt more like a series that could be renewed for a second season and still have a story to tell. Solid enough for me.

"On the other hand, from a “Prominent Guest Actor did it!” perspective, I
fully believed that Townsend could also recur as a new boss for Joan,
meaning I didn’t immediately suspect him."

Even the way it sat next to the house mirrored the Boston Marathon bombing. I suppose for Kitty in particular, the search for the suspect in her own abduction and rape would have the same heightened emotional intensity as the manhunt for the bombing terrorists did for many people.

Us Clarke-Anya shippers are still bitter, but I guess this will do.

If the fandom were only the AV Club, I would agree with you. I've been surprised though at how receptive a lot of viewers are to her storyline this season, at least based on the comments on other sites (Spoilertv, TVline, etc), even if they still prefer Sara and Felicity. That's my potentially biased impression

Did I hear correctly that it was the Queen of the Ice Nation who killed Lexa's female love interest? If so, we can expect what will probably be another complex female ruler next season, Big Bad or otherwise. The 100 is just great.

Anyone who read the interviews with Katie Cassidy knows that this is the show she signed up for: a super-heroine kicking ass and taking names. Her commitment to putting up with bad writing for two seasons and enduring such a critical fandom (love you guys though) is even more impressive than all the physical training

Damnit Parks, stop spoiling season 7 of Game of Thrones!

Nobody deserves the ultimate punishment of being sent to Gotham.

Hearing F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M. was an acronym is when I absolutely lost it this episode, and it was a really funny episode already.

Can we get Luke Mitchell to join the Flash too please? And Mark Pellegrino? And The Tomororow People season 2 while we're at it?

The problem is Gotham is solidly in the D range most of the time. It isn't terrible enough to join the list of fascinating train-wrecks earning F grades like Hostages and The Following.

No mention in the review of The Kiss?!?

You should watch Buffy next! It's like Veronica Mars, but the wise-cracking blonde is a little less wise-cracking, and she solves vampire crimes, which surprisingly consist of less adultery than Neptune crimes typically do.

Even though I agree with all of your other points, this post lost all credibility for calling "Nikita" a terrible show.

Most Syfy shows with the exception of Defiance are on Netflix, so probably.

Pretty sure Lyndsy Fonseca is stuck in the goddamn time paradox that is How I Met Your Mother.

We still have Lucy Liu on Elementary. God bless the CBS syndication machine.

That ending was somewhat dark and reminded me a lot of "Bela" from earlier this season.

Over the past month I watched all of Scrubs for the first time. All the Bill Lawrence connections (Jules, Ellie, Chick, Tom, Jules' therapist, Angie/Elliot, etc) made me appreciate both shows even more.
