@Dikachu:disqus you are correct, and I have indeed played this album loudly late at night on an empty highway (I-20, in fact, between South Carolina and Mississippi, the most boring 10 hour stretch of road outside of Texas).

There's so much variety in Tull's discography that it's interesting to hear which albums appeal to people. Minstrel in the Gallery is probably tied for my favorite of their albums. The multi-track suite "Baker St. Muse" is so good. Heavy Horses is the other of my faves, but I pretty much adore most of their output of

I agree. The album is great. I don't often listen to it in its entirety, but I love it. And I never knew it was supposed to be a "parody" because the lyrics seem pretty sincere to me. And really, LOTS of Tull is basically a parody of social conventions and such, so I never got that the album is supposed to be a joke.

Or the Micheal Bay-produced "Everything's Exploding Tickle Me Slow-Mo."

A LOT has happened to Natasha Lyonne, though she seems to have reversed the "Lohanization" of her life.

The Turn of the Screw got to me. It's not the scariest of books by any stretch, but the slow build of creeping dread is quite effective, especially when the undercurrent of child molestation starts to become more pronounced. Good, short read. Knock it out before you go trick or treating.

Zack Handlen, you just made my day! When I saw this topic, I thought "I haven't read many horror books, so I have nothing much to contribute to this. The only thing I can think of was that book I had as a kid with that horrifying cover of the old woman. I'll never remember the name of that book, though." YES! Ghostly

@avclub-fdf2661964a28f018afca002ff0a512e:disqus that's pretty much the crux of the article I was originally looking for. Exposure at a young age tends to dull this issue.
Also, as is referenced on the wikipedia link I posted in my earlier comment, I think it's fascinating that simply telling people that they might

Well, I went looking for a specific article I once read about how childhood exposure to different races helps reduce the whole "they all look alike" phenomenon, didn't find it, but what the hell, here's the wikipedia page on "Cross-Race Effect."
