I thought it was more "Oh yeah, that's right! I am with the mafia. I kill people who know incriminating things. I'm not sure what incriminating things he knows but he probably knows something….. BAM!"

But I think she kind of hoped it might. Her laughter at the end is kind of "well, you can't blame a girl for trying".

"There's not many total/complete monsters in The Sopranos (Ralphie? Janice?)"

I wondered about that. I think she simultaneously really cared for Johnny and was angling for a chance to meet his son. And for the great unasked question, I think she totally thought she had a chance at becoming Tony's goomar. I think her self delusion was just. that. great.

I totally love this episode and…. the scene ….. is a big reason why. It's maybe the most disturbing scenes in the series that doesn't involve violent assault or death.

Actually I just realized that TB almost seems like a crossover character from another series. Kind of like the Critic in the Simpsons…

I'm expressing myself badly. I totally get that TB was supposed to be cut from different cloth and smarter and restless and unaware of what he wants in the way that only a really smart person can be.

There's no discussing taste.

I'm not sure if I'd go that far but overall the character never worked for me either. Too much Steve not enough Buscemi.

"Am I the only one who thinks she's pretty terrible"

If I could officially delete one scene from the entire series it would be Carmela using the rifle in the pilot. So wrong for the character on so many levels.
