I wonder how long before we get to people trading old VHS copies of TV shows as the TV equivalent to hipsters and old vinyl? "Dude the sound and picture is just so much richer on VHS than the Netflix stream".

AMC Press Release: The final season of Hell on Wheel will be split into two parts with the first 6 episodes airing in summer 2017 and the last 7 never airing at all.

8 is also a round number at least, 7 is an odd number to end even the first half of a season on.

Even BB got a full 16 episode final season that was split. I'm sure a show like MM could have benefited from even an extra 2 episodes.

I don't think the intention was to ever depict the rise and fall of the real "enoch johnson" more to use a basis of his character in the form of "nucky thompson" to depict the prohibition era and its excesses.

I think with this type of show where the scope is so big and they still have so much history to cover, I'd like to see it get to at least 7 seasons.

He's definitely the show's Marcus Garvey stand-in by way of a gangster. Everything from the Caribbean background to the discussions of racial mixing and referring to negros instead as "Libyans". Pretty brilliant stuff.

Maan, I was waiting forever for this episode to be over so I could catch Low Winter Sun. Loves me some Low Winter Sun.

They were members of an aryan brotherhood prison gang. They weren't actual nazis (something most people don't seem to realize) and are only vaguely a sub-set of the over-all "neo-nazi" segment.

Hypothetically would the last episode of the series end with Saul waiting for his meeting with Jesse and Walt?

True. People sometimes confuse Saul for being incompetent just due to how sleazy he is but he really is a great "criminal" lawyer. He wouldn't have stuck around as long as he has on BB if he didn't actually get shit done.

I wasn't a big fan of her character but they built up so much of her relation to piper last season that it seems baffling how it could be resolved in one episode? It also changes the Jim-Piper dynamic now, unless she falls in love with another inmate (which she might I guess at this point?).

A wee bit hypocritical of him to complain about Mr.Show never getting recognition then going on to make a statement like that. As a kid I actually found the first few seasons of MAD Tv pretty decent and refreshing at times from SNL…the last like 7 seasons are another story though.

Did you really think HBO would change the schedule BE has been on the past 3 seasons just due to the fact it will be competing against BB for a number of episodes?

Someone pointed out they were behind the engine block which is near impenetrable. I actually just posted a vid of a bunch of people shooting at a car's engine block and none of the bullets passing through.

For anybody wondering whether or not the SUV engine block (which hank and gomie were behind) would have provided sufficient bullet protection this vid is a good example of multiple fire to a car's engine block http://www.youtube.com/watc…

It's purely a double action revolver actually. It can't be fired single action as the hammer is concealed.

Saying Patton Oswalt is a "little known" comedian on the av club, is the equivalent of someone on fox news saying rush limbaugh is little known.

The cut to black should have actually read: Eric Northman died on his way to his home planet.
