indeed. it's a veritable reunion of X-Files bad guys.

@avclub-94e005c18b383d12a8924d5d1367610d:disqus having watched it all already, Continuum is definitely *not* a replacement for Fringe. it is fun to watch, it's a mildly entertaining procedural, the characters have agency and don't make me want to stomp on their faces forever, and some of the stuff later on becomes

I wholeheartedly agree with @avclub-e8e576d226e2da4b7a270eaa0c20448a:disqus

"why don't they love him" is the series' main theme for Dukat.

and, generally, it's the most consistent in terms of quality from the ensemble cast. if not the best Star Trek series (though I think it is), DS9 definitely had the best casting of all four (no, Enterprise does not count).

@avclub-92a4841c9f86965effbc29fa6eae9f77:disqus I think the pilot (and I've watched it at least three times, over the years) was overly long but with an odd sense of pace; more importantly, it didn't really know where it wanted to go with its characters - especially with Peter and with Broyles - though I did love Anna

@avclub-bbd3ae80d114a4487e037c1be46c04cb:disqus I still cannot watch the pre-credits sequence of Same Old Story without cringing violently when you hear the crack of bones in the accelerated birth scene. It was probably the moment Fringe hooked me up completely, after a lackluster pilot.

another bonus point for Alphas: you don't pull that kind of shit and walk away like nothing happened.

not only Alphas is Heroes with an actual plot, and not a series of conveniently placed plot points; but, more importantly, the characters on Alphas are the main difference: they don't make me want to stomp on their faces for all time.

Sherlock has been a pretty big deal, with 3 episodes of 90 minutes each. not common at all.

I actually watched The Skulls of my own volition.
