I collected a few comics in the 90s as a young teen. Are Jim Lee's X-Men now wiey recognized as shit? Honestly I didn't know that. I enjoyed them for a good 20 issues or so, but what the hell did I know? I was also a fan of Rob Liefeld's X-Force, so I obviously wasn't what you'd call a connoisseur.

Not true. I enjoyed season 1 all right the first time around. Amy Poehler's comic enthusiasm, for starters, is always infectious.

I was sorely disappointed by "Bridesmaids," but not because it wasn't raunchy enough or anything. The tone of the film kept changing so much, and many of the gags just didn't fly. Plus I hated the treacly Wilson Philips finale. Probably a C-.
