Really? He's applying dialectical terms to a fucking comic book movie. That's pretty pretentious. I mean, he's allowed to do it, but he should know that he sounds like a prick while doing it.

Why would I shoot the messenger? That would just be silly.

I'm a dialectical materialist, but I wouldn't write such a pretentious post as this on a pop culture website.

I agree. "The Dark Knight" was extremely overrated, and after I saw it with a friend we had a surprisingly heated argument over its merits or lack thereof. We're no longer friends. His name is Ryan Farrell, he lives in Brooklyn. He will probably love "The Dark Knight Rises," so all you rabid fanboys can look him up

You've got a good point. The 2 million or so Vietnamese killed in the war have been extremely glossed over in all American propaganda - news, movies, etc.

No. There is plenty of terrible film-making in JFK. For starters, there is the most laughably unrealistic portrayal of a Mardi Gras parade ever committed to film.

I bet it's a good book and that Ron Kovic is an interesting guy, no reason not to believe you. My opinion was strictly about Tom Cruise's film.
