Oh, but Britta WAS converted, and we DID see it - or at least the start of it.  That scene with Jeff pointing was a reference to the excellent 1978 "Invasion of the Body Snatchers."  Veronica Cartwright thinks Donald Sutherland is a friendly face, but realizes too late that he's been snatched.

Yep, that's Madeline Kahn.  She did an episode of the Show, too.

In "I'm Gonna Always Love You" … at the start when Piggy is standing behind the piano singing … where's Frank Oz's hand?  I think it might be coming through the floor at such an angle that you can't see his hand because of the piano, but you get the illusion of Piggy's little legs showing?

Should be noted that Terrance Dicks states unequivocally that the War Chief is NOT the Master.

I agree.  Where is Maude?  I loved that show to pieces.

One thing that always cracked me up is how Moreno bitches Animal out in Spanish ("Oye, chico…") and then he mocks her behind her back.  Just so, so funny.

What a lucky man, having to watch every episode of The Muppet Show and get paid.  I hope you're properly grateful to the Universe!

This is an amazing film, I'm so glad it's out on disc at last.

Also let's not forget Chang's super-dry comment to the Doctor "I understand we all look the same."  Holmes might not have solved the conundrum of how to portray Fu Manchu without the racism, but you sure as hell can't say he wasn't trying.

Jim Steinman & Meat Loaf's old chestnut "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad" is a classic of this genre, as he narrates how the memory of a lost love's coldhearted walkout stops him from being able to love his present partner.  "I want you, I need you, but there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you.  Now don't be sad, cause

Other than "The Unquiet Dead," all of Mark Gatiss' scripts ("The Idiot's Lantern," "Victory of the Daleks") feel like mere pastiche to me, with programmatic plot points and emotional moments indicated but not earned.

Yeah, that was amazing.  :D

And this one's #2.

MORE POWAH!!!!

I adored the first Porno for Pyros record, and 1993 is also the year that Meat Loaf's Bat Out Of Hell 2 came out.  So, a fun year for me,  musically.

The Attenborough movie is great, and has a wonderful supporting turn from original Doctor Who William Hartnell, in what I'm pretty sure is the John Hurt role in this remake.

In all fairness, the puppet from "Phantom Menace" was not up to snuff (seems that is an art form which has well & truly died) and the CGI version does actually look better.

@ TransducerX: Yes, I know, but I didn't particularly care to go into the details of Dalentry's, Coast to Coast, etc. Anyone who cares knows this already! For the record, the one we read was the John Leekley script with Spider Daleks and Borusa inhabiting the TARDIS console. It was freakin' hilarious.

The Un-Made Scripts
They were REALLY awful - believe it or not, this is the very best one they came up with. If you can track down "The 8th Doctor Special" put out by Dr Who Magazine, or the paperback book "The Nth Doctor," they have all the details. Plots included time crystals, a bulldog named Winston,

Sorry, no, but it's a terrible piece of television. Some brights spots and fun moments, for sure, but overall, dire.
