You should watch movies you haven't seen already.

The funny thing is, albums like Confield are basically the edited form of their live show, so going to see them is basically listening to that but with less quality control.
On the other hand, they don't have an album called Solo Electric Bass 1.

Squarepusher vs. Autechre
Which has disappeared further up their own rear end?

Hmmm
I just listened to Kid A the other day for the first time in a long time. I think it's maybe not that good.

Waits was never much for symbolism.

Rock n' Roll isn't about math and theories. QED.

Nothing says "loving life and enjoying myself" like partaking in the song stylings of 3rd Eye Blind, Billy Joel and Good Charlotte. Truly an affirming and enriching experience.

Glaring omissions
You guys didn't include Black Flag's "What I See" or The Germs' "We Must Bleed"? My monocle literally just popped off my face.

Novelty is a good one. But really, yeah, any Joy Division song.

1. Bananaphone

Suicide, it's a suicide.

Johnny Cash's cover completely kicks the original from NIN.
Way to much electronic masturbation in the original.

I love Morrison's Doom Patrol, but I like Keith Giffen too. Hope this is worth checking out.

Pretty good
Shallow is still my favourite by them. It had the best songs, but also, squalling feedback was a huge part of their sound, and they've really cleaned everything up. The new album is a lot more Metal/Nirvana and a lot less Drunks With Guns.

Hi, I'm Daisy
Did anyone say that yet?

Pink Flamingoes is 'so great it's great', tardlord.

I don't think I ever listened to it. I hate when an album has a perfect finish like Coldest Winter and then tacks on bonus tracks.

Most video games fall off by trying too hard to be accessible, i.e. Deus Ex to Invisible War which is the opposite of most of these picks. MGS2 is a good call.
How about Super Mario 64 to Super Mario Sunshine?

All of Kanye's previous albums had had some incredible songs and some complete sonic abortions. Because 808s had a consistent from start to finish, it's his first great album. The highs aren't as high and the lows are nowhere near as low. Anyways, it's more of a synth-pop album than anything. Play it with some Depeche

Are people really saying AV Club comments isn't the place for nerd arguments?
