I actually really do love "Joe Dirt". It's obviously a terrible, terrible movie. But damn it if I won't watch it when I catch it on TV.

The public seems to have a real lack of empathy for those with fame/money. It's not like having either of those things instantly fixes any mental or emotional health matters.
Don't let DARE fool you! Misleading propaganda, honestly. Seriously educate yourself about cannabis. I'm not the sort to say, "Oh it's natural, there's no way it can hurt you!" Because I think that's a dumb statement. But it is a godsend for many people suffering from a wide variety of disorders, diseases and pain.…
What a weirdly shortsighted thing to say. (Unless you're being ironic, which in that case, carry on.)
I chortled at the irony. Chortled, I say.
I'd class it like top five horror movies of all time. It's just incredible. A true testament to the power of physical special effects that they're still totally believable decades later.
Well if you give it enough time, most documents by well-known people become "historical documents." I imagine something like correspondence from Harry Houdini, another very popular entertainer during his time, could attract buyers. Whatever your opinion on Madonna herself, it's pretty undeniable she's left a rather…
"The show is being written by Dr. Dolittle 3 scribe Nina Colman, who will also serve as showrunner and EP. "
The dinosaurs in "Jurassic Park" weren't real!
Yeah, thank you. I was not gonna let that blatant lie stand. TCSM is a damn classic.
I don't know why this line and its delivery gets a laugh out of me every damn time.
I hate this shit. I have a very good friend who can't stand the barest hint of anything spicy. That includes black pepper. I'm talking if there's a grain of it in there, she'll freak. Do you realize how important black pepper is to most meals? AAAAGH. I've had to prepare meals bland just for her palate, because I'm…
Forgiveness is overrated.
Well at least you're excelling.
But also, again, I am in no way representative of the community! I'm just explaining how I interpret DiMarco's points.
It doesn't really matter if he was aiming to be offensive. I think DiMarco's point was that it was disrespectful regardless of intent. Foxx, and anyone following this story, should just take this as a learning experience in how to relate better to the deaf community. It isn't mean-spirited to say, "Hey, that's rude.…
I… I don't really understand your comparison?
To me it's equivalent to someone making horrible "ching chong" noises when "speaking" Chinese.
Nope. American Sign Language is its own thing. There are multiple sign languages depending on country of origin, etc.
This is only tangentially related, but it's so fascinating to me just how different sign language is from spoken language. And people have "accents" just as speakers do. There are regional variants. "Sign language" is an umbrella term that applies to systems of communication that are varied and unique around the globe.
