I generally can't stand any of the yammering sports jaggovs so they do not seem any worse than the usual. I do wish they wouldn't have that strike zone thingy in the screen all the time though, especially since they insist on putting the radar gun readings in the upper left by the score.
I don't care where in Indiana you are, there is a better sports team to cling to.
Not sure if this is just a local thing or if its a problem that warrants a dateline episode, but there are several cars of the hoopty variety I see around town painted to match particular candy brands with said logo's plastered all over. I've seen an m&m, snickers, mars and a half assed lemon head. Am I just not that…
I'm trying to, but I don't think I would recognize him anyway, which would make an already awkward interaction even more so.
Hey Now!
It was sad, but charlie totally flipped it with the resigned shrug and "summer love" comment. I just loved the fact that the only way the waitress, or any female really, could possibly have a connection with charlie, much less communicate with him, is if they are completely blasted on drugs.
I'm just glad I was into them enough at the time to get the ones I did, I started listening to Bowie just when the RYKO reissues were dissapearing and only managed to get Low, Space Oddity and Hunky Dory.
You nailed the first part, your conclusion, however, is shit.
Indian Girl is awesomely hilarious. I cannot think of Emotional Rescue without hearing mick deeply intoning…"I will be your knight in shining armor, Riding across the desert on a fine Arab charger"
Brown Sugar is probably the only track that I skip on any of these albums, sometimes Gimme Shelter. The sequencing on these albums is genius, Sticky Fingers especially, I couldn't imagine hearing Sister Morphine without I Got The Blues before it or Dead Flowers and Moonlight Mile after. The songs on that album play…
Ding! Ding! Ding!
Keiths song on Some Girls was always one of my favorites of his, even though the only words you can understand are the title of the song, well, maybe because of that.
I've also got a soft spot for the Just my Imagination cover.
Shit, I nearly forgot about Far Away Eyes.
YES!
Though don't you think its a little choppier than that?
That…would be…a waste…of time.
I thought it was odd that the AVClub ran an obit for Cliff Robinson
Yikes, looks like Elizabeth Banks ate a pound of salt and dunked her face in vaseline
Holy crap, how could I forget Beelejuice, sorry, a music video cannot topple the mounting evidence here.
C'mon, Pee Wee's Big Adventure! Also Ed Wood is awesome, say whatever you want about everything else.
My memory is horseshit so I probably got a lot of what I said wrong, it was probably Secret Service, yes. It was only a small chapter and he wasn't too interested in getting in depth but, James lists all the books he references and points out things he picked up from the better researched ones. I'll have to get the…
I just read the chapter in Bill James book on Popular Crime about JFK and there were some things in there I never heard before, though its been ages since I've read anything about it so I may have just forgot.
Apparently one of the networks a few years after had some gun specialist sit in the depository where Oswald…
