Right, the Hamilton part is not a super demanding one in terms of vocal range. I'm sure that's intentional, based on Miranda's own limitations.

Christopher Jackson is phenomenal. I'm not saying definitively that you couldn't do better than him, but he has a great voice, amazing stage presence, and is no way a weak link in the cast.

Sorry to hear that Alice is miscast—that's a pretty important part to get right.

April is the actual worst character on the show, though.

True, but every leading role for a black actor moves toward a more diverse media landscape, right?

There doesn't seem to be much pattern to when Michelle Monaghan uses this pseudonym and when she uses her real name for a project. I thought she was using "Wilson" for TV work and Monaghan for movies, but then here's a movie project using the "Wilson" moniker.

Michael B. Jordan should be in the mix. More charisma than most of these guys.

Nah, you're not being cynical enough here. People are far too lazy to read a form and check the opt-out box, regardless of the imagined consequences for failing to do so.

Source? I've read that four tracks were used from previous projects, but that doesn't seem to be the majority of the score, much less 90%.

Yeah, but not to show off what a super job they were doing. We know nothing about his complaints or concerns.

"We know he did it, we know why."

Okay, but hear me out: what if Nic Pizzolatto is actually a bad writer.

Cryptomnesia?

I was looking for the name of my most-hated Christmas pop song, only to discover that it's none other than "Merry Christmas (war is over)." (I just knew it as the one with the awful children singing.) What are the odds that this famous songwriting duo would separately create my two least-favorite Christmas songs?

Most of the carols are actually fine. It's the Christmas pop songs that are unmitigated crap.

Lighting, man. Just good old-fashioned lighting. Something today's spoiled, joystick-pushing directors with their noses buried in their computer phones wouldn't know a thing about.

Karl Rove is overrated. Presidential elections are determined by the fundamentals, not campaign strategy, and Rove lost his first presidential campaign, the one where his candidate didn't have the incumbency advantage.

It does really seem like Miyakazi is committed not to using obvious and irredeemable villains in most of his films. That's usually an interesting choice, but sometimes it's just confusing—I can't be the only one left scratching my head about the zigzag character arc pursued by the Witch of the Waste in Howl's Moving

"No seriously the writing is really some of the worst in the AAA industry."

"Like all Assassins, Evie and Jacob are at their least agile when the stakes are highest, and it’s infuriating to repeatedly fail missions because your character wouldn’t follow your instructions."
