Chris Traeger! Thank you. That was LITERALLY, the happiest I've been about someone acknowledging me in all of my life. I'll keep pondering it and maybe find something more about these similarities. It is interesting.

"Oh, and for the record: there was an episode of 'Happy Days' were a guy LITERALLY jumped over a shark. And it was the best one."

Hanna's relationship with Adam is so great. Love the scenes in that apartment.

What's irritating is that people have been saying it for years, even when it wasn't really true. Season 8 has been a little weaker but I hate legitimizing all the negativity that wasn't warranted before, so like OrrinReede was saying it's not even worth it to fight it anymore. The negative tide is too high on here and

Just wanted to say, thank you avclub for still making me laugh at headlines in 2012. Happens quite often on here and this was one of them.

Sweden loves Dana Delany. Body of Proof has a fun quirky cast in general but Dana's character elevates it from just a nice easy TV show. Her confidence (and that clever smile is so good) juxtaposed with a certain vulnerability is surprisingly effective, mostly to Dana's credit. It seems pretty big here and for some

Police officer: "Anyway. Walk to your cars in pairs tonight. Rape's up 8%."

I loved it. I'd been up for too long and was in the perfect state of mind to be blown away by it. Thought they had pre-empted the "graduation problem" for the end of season 4 and was already taking it in a new direction. Greendale would have been missed (but probably reintroduced somehow down the line) but it would

If NBC still wants to end it after the fall, hopefully Community can work out a deal elsewhere. Doesn't Sony share some kind of part-ownership with NBC? They seem to do good things for exceptional shows like last year when AMC wanted to shorten season 5 of Breaking Bad (due to costs) and Sony stepped in to save the

Oh man. I was a little tired when I started watching this and the first act was terrible to me. I was embarrassed for the show because it seemed like a new low, the jokes didn't hit and it all just seemed so forced and random. BUT THEN, when it was revealed that Greendale didn't exist and it was backed up by these

"SIR?! … Pop pop, captain."

What is it about Leslie Knope that always brings me to tears? It's uncanny. Sometimes she can just burst out a laugh in funny scene and the floodgates open, and sometimes it's more explainable things like this wonderful speech. I don't usually cry that much but there's something about this character that always hits

Yeah, that was Eddie Pepitone. Really great comedian, that role must have been written with him in mind. Btw, his twitter is one of the funniest: https://twitter.com/#!/eddi…

Did anyone mention that this episode had awesome soundwork? Hard to describe but the voices sounded exactly like on L&O (obviously) with that raspy quality to it. It was especially enjoyable in the dean's office when professor Kane and Jeff was arguing with Michael Ironside.

I hated Todd in that first episode but now I love him :)

Abed did that high pitched squeel in Biology 101 too, when he found out that the Cougartown season had been shortened.

I laughed quite a lot this episode. B+ easily.

Really liked that last paragraph. Well put.

That's an understandable reaction to some of Abed's behaviour in this episode. But did you read JesseFuckinCuster's fantastic post a few posts down? Completely different perspective on it that might even change yours a little. It definitely enhanced mine. (Also, I don't think it'll get worse. This is supposed to be

"ABED, I'M SO SORRY!"
"No-no, you're commiting… This is good stuff."
