"Yet again. Get Nolan the Toy Maker to make it with any old cardboard cut-out in the title role…"
That's some awfully fan-boyish language for someone who supposedly doesn't care about this.

@avclub-4a51fda79bbd54b4e7327dd6559b6c4d:disqus Al's cat videos are all done in single-takes. Have respect.
I don't think Anderson is as interested in capitalizing on big themes as he is allowing his characters to explore the spaces of big ideas. That's what connects all of his films and where he's a genius in my book.
The recent popularity of The Lumineers, Mumford and Sons, and Of Monsters and Men has made me a little oversensitive to twee lately.
The Decemberists are a really good band thought and I know I shouldn't hold it against them, but it's hard, damnit.
This is the AV Club, we have far less important things to be concerned about than equal justice for all.
EDIT: If men's reproductive rights had anything to do Donald Gover's departure of Community, this would be a much different story.
@avclub-65a0dc9604614be69b3b45d40afe1f85:disqus Great, now I've started a war on false pretenses.
"In fact, even when I typed in the exact headline of the article, it told me no results could be found.”
- That's when I knew for sure.

Jay Z is the AP Style Guide of rap music.
Now, if Weiland and Mr. Han did something together… That would at least be an interesting clusterfuck.
Well, his band peaked over ten years ago, so I'm not sure he sees the difference.
"Wait, nobody air-humped slowly during a guitar solo during that show. That wasn't Scott Weiland at all!"
Me too. But I seem to be in the minority that thinks PJ is a much better band now than they ever were.
A week ago, I would have agreed with you.
But then I caught up with Dark Shadows.
I remember when this interview played on their Top 100 list a few years back. Even AFI's editors couldn't find a way to make his emotional response seem in any way sane.
"… should be ripped-away from Kino and handed to Criterion out of basic decency." - That's true of everything, though.
I was (and still am) a Kubrick fanatic. If you publicly express love for Stanley Kubrick long enough, someone will emerge from a watery place to inform you of how he pales in comparison to Andrei Tarkovsky.
I was first brought to this website after googling "Andrei Tarkovsky" and coming upon the countless threads involving a certain user. Developing a taste for snark through those threads is like being baptized with fire, but I learned at the behest of everyone around me.
Cheers, A.V. Club.
This is the music equivalent of Christian Slater starring in a new "Saw" movie.
