It's a shame that the camera isn't able to capture them live very well, considering there's already a movie template showing how to do it. I haven't seen the Swell Season together, but Glen Hansard is pretty great by himself.
I don't see the hate over their newer stuff. Backspacer, Riot Act, and Pearl Jam, all have great and under-appreciated moments. The worst thing one can say about Binaural is that it's an interesting experiment.

Haven't read the Adamson book, but there's a monster of a book called "Hello, I Must Be Going: Groucho and His Friends" that shows just how popular Groucho became by the 1970's. It's fascinating to hear Groucho's thoughts on life and comedy during the new hollywood.
