Let's Go To Prison is surprisingly funny the second time. I think that once you wade through the film's flaws the first time around, you start appreciating everything it does right in terms of wit and tone.

I really hate to criticize anything the man does because the beginnings of his films are always incredibly compelling. He masterfully shoots interesting characters who are played by great actors.
Then he puts them in his misery porn and I get pissed.

I wanted to shout at my TV during the trailer when Deniro is given the Jewish name of "Jakov."

I had the opportunity to see them at Lollapalooza a few years back when they were up-and-coming in America. Instead I opted to see Iggy and the Stooges.
One of the best decisions I ever made.

That feeling of dread is exactly what made the movie for me. Pixar won't touch the shit that's truly eating at a kid when he acts out.
And every shot of that movie was completely gorgeous.
And that kid gave one hell of a performance.
And James Gandofini gave some seriously impressive voice work.
