We found the Craggy Island Parochial House from Father Ted in Ireland (its near the Burren, and a stones throw from the caves)
Naturally, we had to kick each other up the arse…

YES! I remember watching the Compleat Beatles because I had ordered The Rutles from the library (back when that was a thing) and thought it might give some context, as I was a Python fan over the Beatles. Not only did doing this make the Rutles exponentially more hilarious, but it ended up turning me onto the Beatles,…
Joffery looks sad.
Mine too! It's a little different sounding, too-the guitar line has almost a medieval feel to it, and it's a bit quieter.

The Bear and the Maiden Fair?
Wow, haven't heard of this! Awesome!
I like it, but Constable Habib was a really annoyingly written '90s feminist character.
BUGGER AND OFF!!!!!….I MEAN OFF AND BUGGER!
Most under-used character in the whole series.
Weird, I've been on a Thompson kick this week-especially Sunnyvista and the 1000 Years of Popular music.
Just listened to Semaphore and I love it!
@avclub-1cd45c346398d2ee6a71296e1fa88796:disqus Oh yeah, Hawkwind is pretty close, but a lot more based on improvisation, and the general freaky-outiness of things. This sounds a lot more lethargic and calculated.
Heh. Wow, that's really cool!
The Parting Glass has figured into my life way too many times, not even directly concerning itself with a funeral.
It makes it seem more realistic! Because cinema!
Ehhh…I'd say that it's pretty different than most prog of the time. It has the atmospheric, ringing sound that has a building up dynamic rather than the complexity of prog or the soloing of jam bands, for that matter. I could picture Explosions in the Sky cover this more than say, a Yes song.
Isn't Mastodon supposed to be on the soundtrack?
I haven't even seen a trailer for this, but I'm predicting a lot of shaky cam. Am I wrong?
Also, am I nuts, or is this Wishbone Ash song from 1971 the beginning of post-rock? http://www.youtube.com/watc…
