(It's not the best new show of this TV season.)
(It's not the best new show of this TV season.)
Is that a good thing, in your opinion, Carrot Top?
Yeah it's definitely a big conspiracy and not one person disagreeing with something you like.
The issue I have with the Lost comparisons (besides loving Lost forever and always) is that Lost was filled with compelling characters and, more importantly, audience surrogates. The first episode ended with Charlie asking "Guys, where are we????"
Yeah, that was a portentous moment indeed, totally underserved by its poor staging.
Sorry, I don't mean to direct that whole comment at you, but your spitballing was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I am intellectually curious about the sci-fi of it all, I will admit, but yeah, the only scenes that make me sit up and enjoy myself are the "Rides" themselves. The best scene yet for my money was the very first assault on Sweetwater (the one scored to Paint It Black), and I got a big kick out of the nitroglycerine…
Maybe because there are so many storylines to juggle but the disparate sequences are having a very difficult time with pacing.
Well, actually,
I hope that people soon abandon the "It isn't bad writing, they're just robots, or keeping a secret, or secret robots!" defence.
It tantalizes you with something mysterious, and pays it off almost immediately.
It is unequivocally A Mess and maybe only an episode away from becoming outright Bad.
Yeah there are no characters or plot here. I'm fascinated by most of what's going on but I couldn't tell you in three sentence what the point of the show is.
Just caught up on the last two, and while there are some extremely cool moments here and there, this is getting dangerously close to being a Bad Show.
I was going to say the same thing.
I legitimately don't know if this is true and would be interested to read anything that supports your speculation.
Luck's cancellation was under slightly different circumstances than those other two shows.
Yeah this is a dead ass wrong take on Lost which, while full of mystery and supernatural mystery box shit, was about the characters more than any other Abrams-aping dreck that's come after.
(He's a producer.)
A lot of my devices (ok, almost all of my devices) use USB2/3, but… It's an old technology and this is newer, faster, and better, right?
