But it also has a bunch of original programming that cuts into the time available for classic programming. As much as I like Jim Gaffigan, he doesn't belong on TVLand (or Antenna TV, whatever), Andy Griffith and the Addams Family do.

Seriously, just look at the pictures. Every one of the Munsters is smiling. The only member of the Addams Family smiling is Gomez, and he looks like he is contemplating how nice your head will look mounted over his fireplace.

Eh, I am 22 and I have seen fair amounts of both of them on TVLand. Before TVLand un-TVLandified itself, that is.

I don't think incest became really frowned upon (except between siblings) until fairly recently. FDR and Eleanor Roosevelt were second cousins, too. As were Einstein and his second wife.

I GOTTA LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH YOU PEOPLE, AND NOW YOU'RE GONNA HEAR ABOUT 'EM!

20. Danny DeVito tries to save your family of truffula trees.

SERENITY NOW!

Holy Shit! ¿Spanish is just upside down English?

What about Morrises F through Z?

Isn't that kind of the same setting as King of Queens? Even if that is set in a slightly more upscale area, analogous situations to All in the Family still existed in many parts of the country

Archie was kind of always a grumpy old coot whose generation was being left behind by the counterculture. That was kind of the point of the show, and was made quite clear by the generable reasonableness of Meathead and Gloria, and the (certainly facetious on the part of the writers, but serious as sung by Archie)
