i am with the haters here. so many loose ends in the story.

except it is rated as universal for all the family. the trailer also sells it as suitable. took two boys, 10 and 8 yo. they fidgeted. giggled, threw popcorn. said it was 'nice' (a way of pretendng that they were glad to be at the cinema but not nec happy with this film).

there is also a tremendous amount of product placement, something seemed to stand out in almost every scene. i thought, 'ahh, this is how they paid for all the stars'.

this film is based on Considine's bafta award winning short film 'dog altogether'. it was pretty grim but had the poss of redemption at the end. sorry to hear the female char has also become part of the miserabilist picture.
