Jesus.  Thanks Disqus.  Once again any point I try to make is mangled beyond recognition.  That "edit" button is Lucy with the football, and every time I think I'm going to be able to correct something only to end up flat on my ass.   Sorry folks.

If like me you enjoyed this excerpt from the article one of the AV clubbers linked to:
"…and there, in front of all the soap-opera stars and talk-show sinceratrons, in front of all the jutting man-tanned jaws and jutting saltwater bosoms, he made his small bow and said into the microphone, "All of us have special ones

Also something the show will address going forward.  They blueprint great ideas in early season eps, and then really flesh the hell out of them later on.  DS9 did this better than any other Trek series.

Ugh. Steve my enjoyment of this article and the memories it brings back of the summer I learned of it and became an obsessive with it during a run of regional theater in Ohio (ah the Ice Age Expansion packs… Jester's Cap!) is only tempered by the knotted anger in my gut over your high school tale and the certainty

My second favorite (first being the tightlipspeak) was Chandler plotting out each interaction with Jill Goodacre (might as well come clean and admit I know everyone's names in this ep), then second guessing it, then triple guessing it, then committing to action, then embarassingly screwing it up.  "Gum would be

ooooh yeah… yeah I do remember that- one of the big missteps of the first season- hated the monkey, or at least, hated Ross' interacting with the monky- the up side? the show writers quickly realized that the rest of the Friends hated the monkey and made it a thing.  Then we got the "Outbreak II" episode and it kind

They made that character's motivations even more insidious actually, since SPOILY SPOILY: he's been more self-aware than Odo for hundreds of years while living in the Alpha Quadrant and has experienced all the life Odo still wants to experience, including settling down with a solid mate for a time until she died of

Odo can be inflexible (heh) when it comes to his duties and definitely curmudgeonly to the extreme.  Throughout the series entire he is never close to the viciously xenophobic mindset of the other founders.  The female shifter's nicest interactions are treating the Vorta as dutiful (not beloved) work animals (not

These guys can shift into elements like fire and mist and in one instance, showed they could withstand phaser fire if they simply willed it so.  Big viscous pool that could deal with extreme temps? No biggie.  Or… something something technobabble.

And then doing leg splits.  Great stuff.

Hmmn… I dunno, I enjoyed the fact that the group could split up and everyone could have mini-adventures.   In fact, my gateway episode to the show, still to date one of my absolute favorites and what got me to continue to watch the show, was the "Blackout" episode where Chandler gets locked in a bank kiosk with a
