Also if you watch "Manhunter" you'll see much of Mann's signature style that doesn't really need the existence of "Scarface" to justify itself-it actually hurts the film by dating it with the synth-pop along the line- but the neon sunsets really provide the "Mann" look.

I guess my only counter would be to ask when he's supposed to do that- not during a newscast where if you think about it- he's challenging issues that Republicans are for, but not necessarily issues that should define the Republican party.  The only thing left then, is his personal life- we've seen him take a much

I prefer "Come Undone" as its got more momentum to it and a very sexy undercurrent (again thanks to the female vocals)- but they are both strong entries from a band everyone had given up on at that point and I recall my NYU days very vividly when they occasionally make their appearances on the radio.  I recall just

completely different actor.  Last time I saw the guy from Doogie was as one of Tony Soprano's crew. And you can bet nobody mentioned Doogie there.

It did remind me of the Adam Arkin eps of WW (hell if I didn't enjoy Krumholtz so much from 10 Things I Hate About You … what, you thought I was gonna say "Numbers"?… I'd have just brought Arkin's character into the fold but of course then this wouldn't be the "real" world- it would be Bartlettland… or Santosville-

"I understand that it's supposed to lend him more credibility when criticizing the right"… you answered your own question.  Of course, I enjoy Will's character, enjoy the whole show, flaws and all, but yes, Will is essentially an expanded Ainsley Hayes or Arnold Vinick type- Republicans with a firm grasp of right and

Dude, I turn the tv off immediately on the Marvel Mash-Ups, and those have no bearing on the quality of Avengers.  I'm still pissed they aren't renewing- its a solid show and I can't for the life of me understand (beyond ratings of course) why they have to fix something that ain't broke.

Would have liked to have heard a little background on "Come Undone" - solid song from the "Ordinary World" time that I thought was just as instrumental to keeping them above water as "Ordinary World" was- also loved the female vocals on that song- always wondered who was singing them.

Well hey Oliver if you liked "Avengers" animated so much, why don't you guys just go ahead and cover it?  I agree, it was one of the most kinetic, beautifully staged action episodes with perhaps two flaws- one I would have liked either Cap or Panther to figure out that Vision countered some threats by going intangible

Hey no worries.  Just an observation.  Please, if AV Club ever does a "Classics I Haven't Seen Yet" I'm pretty sure I'd be crucified by the local cognoscenti.  Examples?  "Gone with the Wind", "Citizen Kane", a single episode of Buffy (I tried one or two times, really- it just bored the shit out of me- I'm a "Firefly"

Nope.  Just the same, it was the tension set up from the waning daylight, the characters knowing exactly what predicament they were in with things only getting worse due to sabotage, options quickly running out… and of course the horrific discovery once they are in the cabin that the enemy is already there and all
