Growing up there was a gigantic apartment complex down the block from us where it was rumored that all the pizza delivery places had an unofficial policy where they would make the tenants come down to the lobby to pick up their food since the deliverers were afraid of getting mugged in the elevators.

No one here is saying that most, or even many, people in shit jobs likes doing so, just that there are people out there that do for some reason. They're probably a small minority of them though.
