I know people who talk moreorless like that, and it doesn't seem at all forced of irritating, so I've always found this complaint to be bizarre.

I was very excited about this at the time, and very disappointed.
You could tell there was no way it was going to be picked up for a series.
As I was quite young I didn't understand why the 'half human' idea annoyed Dr Who loving relatives so much, but now (having seen most of the classic series) it just seems like

Ghostlight is great, made a huge impression on me at the time. Surely one of the most densely-plotted multi-layered 'childrens' TV stories of all time.

About the order of these reviews
As we've seen over the last 5 weeks, regeneration stories aren't really the show at it's finest. Why not look at final stories instead?

If I were to name some famous pre-20th century PMs the names Walpole, Pitt The YOUNGER, Gladstone and Disraeli would be the first to come to mind, Pitt the Elder and Palmerston would be in the b-list. I guess that's part of the point of the joke though. And their names just sound funnier.
Talking of obscure names, this

Come on now, that's surely one of the best album covers.

"Wernham Hogg" just works better, though. I'm not going to bother explaining this here as I'll just be shot down as a blasphemer. The same thing goes for "Tim and Dawn" as opposed to "Jim and Pam". Or Gareth versus "Dwight". At least there are actually people named Gareth somewhere on the planet and not just on

Yeah
Olbermann's ok, but he's no Richard Whiteley

Adam Sandler
I just want you to know that I'm a really big fan.
Especially Billy Madison. That was like punk-rock.
But everything after that, though, I just didn't like, you know what I mean?

VCDs -
Still available here in Beijing.
As far as I'm aware nobody in the US has even heard of the ridiculous things.

Ian Curtis wouldn't have done anything much more.
He'd said what he had to say and didn't want to go on any more.
The same for Kurt Cobain, perhaps.

Guitary lite-grunge-pop deserves nothing but disrespect.

Sure you can understand a sport featuring a sport you don't watch, but if you aren't into the sport in the first place then the film's not going to look like something you want to watch.
American Football is played by near to nobody outside America, baseball by a few Cubans and Japanese, but that's about it. Basketball

Sports movies
= least successful genre for export abroad, probably because most of the rest of the word play different sports. I've not seen ANY of these films, and I've seenalotoffilms. The only ones I can remember watching are 'A League Of Their Own' 'Field Of Dreams' and 'BASEketball' - anyone want to share a few

Bad Boys II
I've seen thousands of movies over the years, but Bad Boys II is the only one that has made me so angry that I had to cancel a night out - it's therefore the worst movie ever made and I hope everyone involved in it, especially the writer, is excluded from society permanently.

Say what you like about this show,
the theme song is absolutely one of the worst ever broadcast.

Ok, so what didn't you get? You want a plot synopsis?

The Flintstones
The (terrible, terrible) Flintstones movie was released around the same time (maybe withing a few weeks) and somehow had almost exactly the same plot.

"No way you big spastic, you're a mentalist!"
