I like this story.
I was in the back of a van for 4 hours once while Ruckzuck from Kraftwerk 1 was on repeat on full volume. The driver had taken 3 Es and said she couldn't drive without it.
Good times.

Late period (i.e. 80s) Kraftwerk is something I just find embarrassing.
Unfortunately "The Model" is the first thing people hear.

The first three Kraftwerk albums are hard to find and feature little or no electronics of any sort - Ralf & Florian apparently don't like them at all - but I would advise anyone who hasn't heard them to seek them out. All three are stunningly fresh even now.
