Precisely. Again, I think thats totally the idea. It's kinda like Carter poking fun at the fan fiction…it's really a dark episode, but also sort of tongue in cheek. One of my favorites.

That's maybe a little bit of the point, right? It comes off like a childish love letter to Scully, which in a way, is what it is. Yea, it's pretentious and too-meta, but damn, I'll watch a Scully centered episode any day. Maybe one of her best.

Haha, for some reason I mixed up this episode with The Unnatural and thought that character was named Trevor. Whatever, mixed episode overall. Solid close of season from here out though.
