Poe's law in effect- our current reality is so weird it's hard to tell when people are being sarcastic versus being a sincere lunatic (I could tell you were kidding though).

Russ Feingold is about as progressive as it is possible to be, and he still lost because enough liberals didn't bother to actually vote. I want what you say to be true but I'm pretty skeptical about the electorate.

A stranger in a coffee shop told me that he voted for the libertarian party because "corporations have too much power in this country." I didn't even know how to respond to that, I was screaming internally.

I love that game, but that fight is seriously bullshit.

I'm dreading finding out whatever awful thing that could "never happen here" will be next.

Depressingly enough the only hope I have for the environment under Trump is if he fucks up the economy so badly it results in another major recession which will close more factories and stop more emissions. So we're really screwed either way, it's just figuring out which unique way that we are screwed.

Great, the next Monday, December 16th is in 2019, so we have plenty of time! (I think your date is wrong AV Club)

It depends. Do you happen to be a Russian oligarch?

Thanks to climate change that won't be an issue soon

I'm upvoting this for sharing the article, even though all of the content fills me with blind rage

Anyone who is shocked that the Republican party would want to privatize Medicare is too stupid to live anyway. It's like, have you not been paying attention to anything they've said for decades?

For people so obsessed with "personal responsibility", it always seems to be somebody else's fault when they're wrong.

There's still a point to winning the trial even though you have to fight Lorne anyway as you get bonus items and influence afterwards that you don't get if you lose. Plus sticking it to Luskan and their smug representative is pretty satisfying.

Way to ace your fortitude and persuade checks Archmage, congrats!

Since 2016 was the year Trump won and thus the 'best' year, Trump will pass a law declaring that every year is 2016 now.

That would be a good idea that would help millions of people vote, which is why it will never happen

They are bad enough, but the people I know who really piss me off are the ones who are not even registered to vote who now have the balls to complain about the election

Expecting Democrats (and left leaning or liberal people in general) to bother taking the time to vote is just a recipe for heartbreak. Every 2-4 years we tell people about the importance of voting, and every time people find incredibly stupid, selfish, and/or lazy reasons to justify shirking their civic

Yeah better is a real stretch, but there are still plenty of SG1 episodes I remember very fondly and very few bad seasons considering how long it ran. But Farscape holds such a special place in my heart so I'm probably a little biased.
