I think the 'Season 5 sucked' thing comes from Alec Baldwin saying he wanted to quit because Season 5 sucked.

its funny. I never watched Law and Order until halfway through the (what turned out to be) the final season because I dropped cable to save money. And I loved it then show! Then it was cancelled, because of course.
after rewatching this for about the 10th time, I caught something cool
the map at the beginning sequence is filled with nice jokes: 'decent Chinese place' 'scary laundromat' 'good frozen yogurt' 'airport' (pictured with a dragon), 'fish n chips joint' 'Imaginary Coast'
this sounds like a SyFy show
What the balls was that tag supposed to be? “We have a thing”? That’s your big closing gag? Ugh.
at the very beginning of this show, they use the last few notes to 'Happy Birthday' I wonder if they had to pay royalty rights (see the scene in Sports Night when Dan got called to the office and had to talk with Lisa Simpson erm Yeardley Smith) or they used not enough of it to skirt payment
I just watched this AND read the article and comments
I dont mind Drew on the Price is Right, but the show has changed subtly over the years. Brighter colors, models talk now (Im not anti-women or anything, but they really dont add anything and just cheer), the new games are confusing or dumb, and theme shows (its Couples day! or the entire audience is pregnant!)
I dont watch anything on the CW, but I know they get turrbl ratings and canceled a bunch of shows
Im guessing when they filmed this, Kroll was knee deep with work between The Kroll Show and The League
this episode reminded me of S1 's Investigated Journalism http://www.avclub.com/artic… (the one with Jack Black) (edit: also funny reading comments about the show back then. lots of love, some hate, kinda reverse what it is today)
in that episode that put Buddy in situations that the group already had and made use of…
in the Law and Order episode last year, the Study Group did pin down the yam 'crime' to Neil who wanted to bang Vicki
I was thinking about Chuck the other day.
Remember when there was much rejoicing that there was a 5th season so that it could it could make all that sweet syndication money? Why has Chuck completely disappeared? What happened to the syndication plan?
its all spelled out in S3E1 when the Dean proclaimed: “I just came by to tell everyone this year isn’t gonna be that
different, with the notable exception we won’t really have any money.”
I recently rewatched The Office S1-5 (I stopped buying the dvds after that) and S5 is good, but you can start to see the cracks (Dwight amped up to DWIGHT by the end of year. After Dwight and Andy 'duel' Andy has no use anymore.)
I Love Lucy was a Desilu production
I loved the Law and Order episode
I also love Law and Order (original flavor and SVU. Im kinda over Criminal Intent) so thats probably why I loved the episode. (I mean it was a spot on spoof right down to the lighting and camera angles)
Tom Hanks is probably a good choice to host. He has gravitas and is pretty funny (at least when he is on Letterman or the other late night chat fests)
Im giving you a 'like' because your user name reminds that I need to get my Daria dvd collection back from my brother
do award shows even need hosts? disembodied voice telling me who the presenter/musical act is all I need
and it would save a lot of time
