Interesting point on the comparison of Markab religion and Delenn's 'Faith manages', I hadn't thought of that.

Fair point, but Franklin's monologues seem to veer into non-sequitur territory way more frequently. Sheridan, Delenn, Londo all do it, but they mostly come during appropriate points in the conversation, when semi-prompted for a good long story. It seems like the good doctor will drop it on you if you ask what he had…
Glad you brought up Biggs' performance, because that's one thing that's really stood out to me on the rewatch. For all the problems I have with both the character and how he's written (is there any question he won't answer with a long, highly personal and sanctimonious monologue?) he's does a great job selling him as…
- I had been feeling guilty and/or stupid for not picking up on the Talia-Ivanova relationship when I first saw the series. Turns out, I have an excuse - I'd never seen Divided Loyalties!
That was the mother of all sad-faces.
You're right, it isn't on the way, but I'm guessing that that is what the show is implying here. Basically, they wanted the KL backdrop for that scene, and assumed we're fuzzy enough on the map to get away with it. They'll probably be at Dragonstone, back on the Gendry-as-Edric track next week.
@avclub-cd3695fb409b3ce6dc60ca44b08983ac:disqus The only scene??
In context, I unironically love 'Kiss at the End of the Rainbow'.
I've never seen her in anything, but I've been intrigued since I read the review on here of that semi-autographical film she did.
Ah yes, the War of Past Pluperfect Aggression.
It was already a good scene, but from "wasn't worth a damn" on it went to a whole other level. Can't praise Black enough for how she played that - showing all the growth she's gone through over the season, while still having that PK badass edge as a foundation (even as she's verbally rejecting it.)
PK Barbie was brilliant, and also a much needed/deserved laugh-out-loud line, given how tense and serious the rest of the ep was.
Yeah, the semi-comic tone of it was wierd, to the point that I was wondering if I completely misread what was going on in there.
Actually, I was going to point to the shootout as the one thing I didn't like about these episodes (which, overall, were a borderline triumphant showcase).
Fair point, but I was getting more at the general nature of casting news: Anyone clicking that type of link won't know, before hand, what kind of time commitment they'll read about. From the headline, Cinderella could easily be an ABC series, or a Peter Jackson magnum opus.
To be fair, the implicit spoilers of reading news of actors taking other roles probably outweighs what's been posted above.
Spoiler alert: heh
They're just going to keep rerolling the franchise until they get an 18.
Optimistic counterpoint: The Sopranos also burned through a lot of plot in their first season, but successfully settled down to a lot of great non-master-narrative, character-driven eps once they knew they were sticking around.
I'd hope FX will stay generous/aggressive in providing free Vod/streaming over the summer. Given the addictiveness, I think this show has the potential for a lot of new converts to catch-up between seasons.
