If they want to get back on the prestige train, how about a fucking Remember WENN DVD release? Or rebroadcasting it or something?

"for a network whose prestige and popularity has become largely predicated on a trio [Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead] of aging TV juggernauts."
No it's not. Everything on Showtime, even shows with promise, invariably turn to shit. I don't know what it is with them. But I have very low expectations.
I would say one incredible show, like The Sopranos, is luck. There are only so many David Chase level talents out there to give a show to. But then they had The Wire. And Deadwood. Three absolutely astoundingly excellent shows-that's not luck. And maybe a dozen really good ones. That much excellence cannot be solely…
Californication was one of my guilty pleasures. Fuck that, I don't believe in guilty pleasures, it was entertaining. Stupid, but entertaining. David Duchovny and Evan Handler were funny.
Why on earth would I want to purchase Showtime? HBO Now gives me access to HBO's incredible back catalogue, including their as yet unmatched string of pure gold back in the aughts (they should really capitalize on Odenkirk's newfound success and make Mr. Show available on there now that Better Call Saul is on).
There's a body of political science research that says that basically, on the "boring" and especially non-constitutional cases, the Justices tend to be pretty objective. The sexy constitutional cases tend to break down by ideology. It just so happens that most of the cases are kind of boring, they're not all massive…
lol
But it's remarkable how some of the best comedians can make great dramatic actors. There's really something to it, I'm really happy to see Odenkirk getting so much solid acting work.
I haven't yet! I'm such a fan of the movie, I'm afraid it'll somehow ruin it for me.
I say that as a huge West Wing fan (first fourish seasons anyway)
Wait…the determining factor is runtime? They don't even try to make sense do they.
Is it for comedy or drama? Because I see much easier competition for Odenkirk in comedy. But if drama, Jon Hamm needs an Emmy first.
Yeah, this episode fell flat like the two dudes Mike shot
It's one thing to be bad, it's another to be boring. I guess Lars Mikkelsen as a thinly veiled Putin is better than Chinese concrete.
Yeah, this makes Far Cry 4 look like thoughtful political commentary.
Yeah, just saw that, he really is great.
I should have added the military caveat, yeah you're right.
Hey, if it weren't for his guest stint on the X-Files, Gilligan might never have cast him as Walter White. Can you believe the AMC execs wanted Matthew Broderick? Imagine that. Might as well cast Jeffrey Jones as Hank.
It's funny how comic actors can make some of the best dramatic actors. I think the best actors can do both-look at Jon Hamm on SNL and 30 Rock. Hamm should go for a comedy after Mad Men ends, he's really great at it.
