@dah_sab:disqus Gomie's also partially responsible here, I would say-he could've made a judgment call and called the cavalry-Hank is his superior I think, but still.

@avclub-705562aaa4a5b85bfa44373d8e6bf234:disqus I think Walt really wanted to save Hank, but his gambit was better for him than it was for Hank. Walt must have known that the entire DEA being onto him makes him a huge liability in Jack's eyes. The cavalry being on the way, as opposed to just Hank/Gomie, would mean

I know. Poor guy. He really does deserve one for Don Draper, but between Cranston and Hamm I go Cranston, no question. I think the one time (other than maybe the first season of Mad Men) that Hamm wasn't up against Cranston they gave it to Kyle Chandler. Ouch. I mean, Friday Night Lights was a great show but…

What was that exactly? The lengths Walt went to that you're referring to?

@avclub-c70044e2a75b836382fdcd39520ff0ab:disqus Todd's a nihilist? Fuck me.

Yeah, I think Bryan Cranston won his 4th Emmy last night. Apologies to Jon Hamm, once again.

Yeah Walt spoke too soon. I have to think that the cavalry coming would convince Jack to back off on killing Hank and get out of dodge. But then that puts Walt in deep shit with Uncle shank 10 guys in two minutes Jack, I imagine.

Yeah Mr. White! Yeah science!

He was just told that his father was a drug kingpin and most likely inferred that he's responsible for his uncle's death! Give the kid a break!

This is the way your commenting ends. Not with a bang but a whimper.

I read an interview with that one who was also a neo-Nazi on Justified. Seems like a pretty cool guy in real life.

Yeah but you know I'm happy for Bob, he deserves it. It seems like David has had more post-Mr. Show success, now it's Bob's turn.

沃尔特吃汉克的尸体的屁眼

My one criticism of this season: not enough Jim Beaver. Fuckin love that guy.

@avclub-e090dc0d50bec3a36eb5d6371fd6030e:disqus yeah after all that's happened to Walt, it has to be more than just money to bring him back. It has to be someone.

Walt's 51st birthday was episode 4 of this long season. I don't remember if there's been any indication of how much time has passed since then and now. Are there?

So why does Walt wait almost a year between going with vacuum cleaner guy and coming back to town to presumably end the Nazis/save Jesse? Is that how long it takes for his demons to compel him back?

A firstie comes across the sky…

Hehehe. Well truth be told I had dropped The Power Broker (great book, but life got in the way) a few months before the newest one came out. Heard it had a great chapter on the Kennedy assassination and LBJ's ascent to the Presidency. I skipped right to it and boy was that riveting. Been reading backwards ever since.

I've actually been reading it backwards and it's quite the experience. And Caro is such a great writer that it's a surprisingly fast read given the material.
