I hope Billy survives the snake bite. I'd hate to see him go down by Boyd's hands so quickly.

I do too. They're fun characters to watch, and I'm hoping they create problems for Boyd and his criminal enterprise. I can't help but wonder if they're not as innocent as they appear, but for now they're doing good things in Harlan — getting addicts off drugs and getting Ellen May out of prostitution, for starters.

If he's still alive, he's probably in prison or a high-security psychiatric facility. Since Quarles was still breathing at the end of the "disarming" scene in the season 3 finale, there's a chance he might still be alive.

NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. JUST. NO.

Presumably. Or, it might be the other way around, with Ellen May initially taking drugs to make prostitution easier to bear, but later getting addicted. I hope we'll learn more about her backstory.

At the very least, I don't see him escaping Boyd's clutches that easily. After he swore off Boyd last season, he did Boy'd bidding with very little resistance in this episode. I thought he'd have a stronger will than that.

Beema — It's a reference to the Mahabharata.

She's turning into a female Delroy. It's interesting how she's chosen to identify with victimizers rather than victims, given her own history of domestic violence.

I'm relieved that Ellen May has found a happier, healthier life than the one she was living in the brothel, but I can't shake the feeling that her new life will be subverted. Will her killing of that john in "Hole in the Wall" catch up with her? Will Eva arrange to have her taken out because of what she knows about

I want to see more of the Truth family. They're so deliciously twisted and backwards that Justified could get a lot of mileage out of a Truth storyline.

The departures of Quarles and Emmett left an opening for a leader in the Dixie Mafia, and he's grown into the role nicely.

What do you mean, NOOOOO? He looks great! Wynn was totally workin' that clean-shaven face and coiffed hair.

Knowing Quarles, he'd probably try to beat someone senseless with his severed limb.

Well, Quarles was acting out of desperation, so he took whatever hostages he could get. To boot, his brain was fried from Oxycontin abuse, so he probably wasn't thinking very rationally.

I thought the bubbling vat was full of boiling water, to singe the hairs off the hogs before slaughter. In the first episode, wasn't the powdered lye in a small container instead?

You know what "Justified" needs? A gospel album. With all the religious fervor and blaspheming in the series, I'm sure some enterprising DJ could take sounds clips and remix them into gospel hits. How do these songs song?

Now I'm getting a mental image of Limehouse going to the bank with a 200 lb. hog in tow, and placing it on the counter in front of a shocked bank teller.

I'm partial to "GIMME A GODDAMN AMEN!" myself.

If Quarles lives, I wonder if he'll be the target of arm stump comments instead of blond/albino comments.

Having been to rural western Pennsylvania, I can vouch for that.
