Yay, a convert!
Yay, a convert!
I hate to pimp Kina's twice in one thread, but her cover (with Imaginary Friend) is beautiful. So, so much prettier than the Karmin chick!
Kina Grannis is my favorite person. Keep on truckin'.
I really hope he (and everyone involved with the show) is okay :( I have tickets for next week and I want to see him healthy and happy.
Brian Stokes Mitchell is black.
Oh, don't worry, he also said something to the effect of, "loads of rappers deal drugs, but you choose to hate ME?" because he "learned" from his "mistake" and is therefore invulnerable. And he won a Grammy.
I support any show that pairs Brian Stokes Mitchell and Jeff Goldblum.
She was a fab G(a)linda!
Karmin is basically "inoffensive" novelty rap for people who are afraid of rap. And it's awful.
I think what happened was, they didn't give Zooey material to step outside her 'comfort zone' (read: her being herself), or, they pitched it to her and she didn't agree to anything. None of her skits required her to be anything but adorable and cute and definitely not mean or ugly or nasty.
I would have loved to see…
I'm the biggest Twilight Zone fan, so seriously, thanks for the link!
I don't mind her. I liked the songs when she was relatively unknown (but under Lana Del Rey), and if I forget all this stupid controversy, I still like her. She's just a singer, it's not that serious.
Heylo! Newbie here. (: I watched this episode while home with my Latino household, and for reasons none of us could articulate, we were all offended by it. Probably because as usual, Glee likes to use stereotypes for humor, and then point out to the audience why stereotyping is 'wrong'. Oh, well. XD
