I'm the same way with movies. I got to watch plenty of TV as a kid, maybe too much. But we hardly ever went to the movies. My parents would complain that it was too expensive and the floors were sticky. In their defense, we didn't have a ton of money and the floors were sticky.

I was the same way except most of my purchases were specifically Nolan Ryan cards. Why?  I'm not sure. I think was mostly amazed at the idea of throwing a 101 mph fastball. Also, I wasn't buying individual cards. There was a whole Nolan Ryan line of cards.

I liked Hook. Haven't seen it since I was a kid. I was just old enough to be aware that adults generally didn't like it, but I couldn't tell why.
