i just found out that, leading up to the premiere of Hitchcock, one of the local theaters is going to have a week-long Hitchcock film fest (six movies over the course of a week—The Wrong Man, To Catch A Thief, The Birds, Vertigo, North by Northwest, and Psycho).

(Note:  I was originally going to make this comment here last night, but was lazy, then saw the new primer (or whatever) on the main page today and thought I'd make the comment there, but thought that would be silly, even though the topic is very germane, anyway, here's the comment.)

There were three (maybe four) theaters in town doing a classic movie series over the summer, but generally, the crowds were about the same as they would be at any other show (usually a second or third weekend crowd).  The one that seemed to have one of the biggest crowds, oddly enough, was Cool Hand Luke.
