…my idea doesn't feel cool anymore. :)

Hathaway, I like the way you think. Alternatively, we could just have seen the tip of the Oldham iceberg. It would definitely be gratifying to see psychopath Oldham live up to Sawyer's description down the line.

Ben and Sayid
I was 99% sure that Sayid was going to try to rub Ben out, but there was a small part of me that imagined them in the jungle, with Sayid trying to "raise him right." It would have been just a little bit cool if Ben was the way he was because of Sayid.

Yes. An EP and a shirt. God-willing, they'll fire up that wing of the NBC-Universal merch machine if the new, two-season deal is inked.

Yeah, Plemons is extremely gifted, especially with the tossed-off, not-necessarily-supposed-to be heard remark. Landry's long been in contention for my favorite character.

@Rannix - I think that's why I'm ok with Topher. Both Dick and Topher are so gleeful about their amorality. It's really fun to watch people who like what they do, regardless of its moral alignment.

Oh, do some research. Ida Lupino was no one's door prize!

:(
If anyone gets this, please bump this entry for the NBC discussers! I'm ready! :)

You are right, Splendid. That's kind of a special case though. :)

@wookiee: Yeah, season 7 is a mess, and 6 is too. I don't think either is a loss, but they're undeniably messes. This is an uncomfortable reality of Buffy fandom. I see your point on the magic thing now, and I guess that seems less gendered than it is just generally awkward. Now I'm remembering the cheese of

Doubting myself, I checked the tape again - there's no direct confirmation that DeWitt is the mole (DeWitt was talking about Melly when I thought she was talking about Echo), but she's still my leading suspect.

DeWitt refers to her as "our sleeper Active." So, presumably she's still active?

Alternatively, the Dollhouse may actually have traditional whorehouse/human trafficking roots in which the dolls were play-acting. Maybe the mindwiping is a new development.

I'm not sure we've been told Topher invented this stuff. Maybe I'm wrong…?

Word. I hate to let Joss off the hook entirely for seasons six and seven - I mean, the dude spread himself too thin. But I do think his attention was elsewhere when it came to Willow's "addiction" storyline. It's been awhile, so I don't remember a gendered component to that though. Forgive me if I'm dropping the

I had the same thought. I think it's his machine though, so maybe she won't be there when he checks his messages. But it's gotta stoke his curiosity. I really hope they incorporate this. It's not a dealbreaker if they paper it over, but I'll be sad.

@J.i.O. - I think you're overstating your case to call everyone in the thread rape apologists. Of course there's a creepiness to Joel's annual use of the Dollhouse to try to get past (or maybe just fixate on) his wife's death. But it's also a pretty human thing to do, to try replace someone you love and lost. For

I just re-watched. Adele is definitely "the mole." She and the head of security talk about watching the tap on Echo from the previous evening and the poetry of it.

@Chaz: Killing him would still arouse more suspicion about the Dollhouse than the other thing. I don' think Adele takes those kinds of risks. Also, as someone else pointed out, he's a useful strawman when it comes to Dollhouse paranoia, too.

I think the infatuation is just fuel for his obsession with the Dollhouse. I think Patton's character was touching a nerve, but not necessarily getting the whole truth of it.
