What about the star trek film that shall not be named which came between Voyage Home and Undiscovered Country?

speaking of resonance - that scene with Madred's daughter. Wow.

I'm a Jellico apologist too. The all-too-smooth command relationships of the enterprise could have used a bit more interpersonal and style-based conflict. Jellico got the job done and anyone who says his outmanoeuvring of the cardassians isn't awesome is just denying reality.

The point is that the SEALS use tested means of intelligence gathering and tactical, effective use of force when necessary.

…and which is why Zack doesn't need to demean his own beliefs about torture. It's not weak-willed and liberal to eschew it because (as JLP says) it is ultimately a self defeating choice, 24 notwithstanding.

I disagree. The final message is that torture will produce whatever response the torturer is looking for, no matter how false. Which is why it doesn't work.

Man, who woulda thought our man Frakes could have a crisis of confidence. That's why you always need a wingman you can trust.

I find that the most badass moment is actually when he says "What lights?" earlier in the episode.

Richelieu's time to shine!
OK Richelieu, your time to shine once again. What was Picard singing in French while he was being tortured?

I have all 168 + the TNG 'behind the scenes' wrap hosted by none other than our good friend Frakes.

…you got crime…drugs…gorillas…

USA! USA! USA!
If anyone is checking this - Star Trek TNG is streaming on netflix!

…one more thing….

I wasn't outraged. Based on what we know about the characters, i think it's clear most of the Enterprise's command crew would make terrible spouses.

Mrs. P, the more I learn about you, the hotter you are.

I don't think that Thorin & co. are portrayed as servants. Certainly they are down on their luck, in exile, and certainly the Hobbit is written in more of a kid-friendly tone, but the Hobbit explains the majestic origins of the dwarves…the whole point is they are trying to recapture that majesty from Smaug.

Archmage +2 for knowing where the buttons are supposed to be and +100 for coining the word dwarfestation. Thank you, good sir.

Right, Mrs. P, but Rooney and Taylor both switched out of primarily TV acting into news and film/merchandising, respectively.

also it was canon that Picard encountered the Ferengi as captain of the Stargazer…perhaps they never actually saw their faces? I dunno.
