They really missed an opportunity in not casting women as Riggs and Murtaugh this time around.

Also weird how much people want to attack this particular cast, thus necessitating some form of defense.

Yes, but on what variety of potato was the album recorded?

"Dark Tower? I hardly know 'er!"

Yeah, I don't understand why they can't have a cold open with a team of bullshit super heroes that they're never going to use for MCU movies blowing up a city block a la the comics version. Then, William Hurt would be able to serve that up as the cherry on top of the Avengers collateral damage sundae and really drive

True, but would that really be his first choice in a combat scenario?

I hate that I don't feel more joy over this. I think it's that I'm starting to tire of the MCU - the style, the tone, the design, the fact that we have another profile shot of a team of heroes running into action, which we seem to get in every film. Even Spider-Man…it feels just so tired, to me. I dunno. I loved

I am still punching myself in the face over missing the shows Janelle Monae did with Prince. I end up seeing her at Governor's Ball in '14, and it was awesome, but that must have been a hell of a pairing.

They really missed out on an opportunity to reach the Spanish-language audience by not naming the second film SharknaDOS.

Nothing. Digital media, especially now that lossless audio is a thing, is superior in all ways when it comes to convenience and ease-of-use. "Making mix CDs" was always a poor evolution of mixtapes. If what I want is old-school aesthetics (album art, lyrics inserts, etc.) or a more vintage sound, I'll go with vinyl.

If you've seen Hemsworth in the Vacation reboot, you know that's emphatically not true.

Maybe it's just that "AW HELL NO" was the single, solitary line they used to audition people for the part, and Leslie Jones was the only one who nailed it.

I really, really want this movie to be great just to shut up the MRAs, misogynists, and panicky fanboys who take this stuff so seriously that any effort to touch anything they like is considered sacrilege and a personal affront. Sadly, this trailer didn't really make me feel that's going to be the case.

This is the first I'm hearing that a new Bob Mould record is coming, and now my day has officially been made.

I mean, I think NYC is big enough to support more than one festival per year, but they should be farther apart. Like, early fall would be a kick-ass time for a second outdoor festival that wouldn't interfere with an early summer festival's chance to book the best stuff.

That is absolutely the first thing that jumped into my mind when I read this story.

In my limited experience with that sort of medication, it doesn't necessarily do anything for your libido, per se (unless you're talking about something other than what I think you're talking about). It just helps with the physical reactions necessary to facilitate what scientists call "The Boning Process."

I didn't like this song at first listen, but it's definitely a grower. Much like myself.

I looked up some of their music, and it sounds exactly like I'd imagined a band called The Front Bottoms would sound.

And so, the stage for the great Governor's Ball/Panorama battle is set. GovBall has a much better roster overall, in my opinion, but, wow, Panorama's top tier. It really makes me kind of sad that this whole throw-down had to happen at all, as I think both festivals suffered for it - the Governor's Ball folks came
