I watched eight episodes of Mad Men and it inspired me to seek out a better show to watch.

No comment on Trevor Noah, but this screed is ridiculous. Two things:
I am a person who doesn't watch Mad men, but has watched that clip, so I can answer some of this. For me, it is an interesting scene and a great pitch, but, yes, it loses something without the context of knowing what else is going on in the characters' lives. I thought that guy who started crying and ran out of the…
Has AVQ&A ever done an installment on hugely popular bands you saw as opening acts before they broke? I think that might be a fun thing to explore. I'd have difficulty choosing between the time then-nobodies Matchbox 20 opened for local DC heroes Daisyhaze right before their debut album blew up all over the place, or…
It sounds like Jesse Hassenger and I had the exact same experience at Governor's Ball last year. I actually took a nap during Phoenix's set, but caught all the other bands he listed. TVOTR may have been my favorite set of the festival.
"Parasites Lost" contains one of my all-time favorite Futurama quotes.
Actually, my honest answer: Captain Jean-Luc Picard, USS Enterprise. He's intelligent and endlessly intellectually curious, deeply moral, cultured, courageous, supportive and protective of his crew and friends, and able to acknowledge and examine his flaws and mistakes in an honest, constructive way. He has a soft…
In my completely unbiased opinion, the best and only answer is Lieutenant Frank Drebin, Police Squad.
It's funny - even with the health issues and the age differences, I always kind of figured Nimoy would be the last of the Enterprise crew to go. Something about him just seemed immortal.
I can't quite make it out - is he daring to disrespect the Soggy Bottom Boys?
I did not wake up this morning thinking I would learn something new today about the Transformers: The Movie soundtrack. And here we are.
Ron Swanson's mustache just exploded.
Exactly.
They really should have just shut the thing down after last season, when Carlton completely blew the curve.
I cannot wait to make sweet love to this record.
You just blew my mind with that whole Target thing.
Don't forget the angry comedians!
Real talk: I buy all my jeans at the Gap. This is mostly because I don't give a crap, they have pants I always know will fit, and they're not super-expensive. If that makes me boring or in some way uncool, I suppose that's alright. I'm probably of an age at which caring about what people think of where I buy my pants…
That's all part of the appeal. Half of Guided By Voices' output sounded like it was recorded on a potato - that didn't make it any less awesome.
Better than buying Gap pants in silence.
