The fact that the love of his life is his goddamn meth empire and he wasn't redeemed at all by his love of family is probably the most effective gut punch ending ever.
Strangely, I bet Henson and Waters would totally hit it off.
Yeah, that's the only reason why I don't want to read this book. It's the same reason I don't want to speculate about why Phil Hartman was married 3 times.
It's got zazz!
Ah "fuchsiatard". Another great made-up Simpsons word. Because "leotard" isn't femmy-sounding enough, I guess.
My plan if I ever meet Steven Spielberg is to just ask him about his role as the Cook County Assessor in Blues Brothers. No one thinks my plan is funny either.
Do it. DO. IT.
That was….very good for a first try.
Huh. I heard somewhere that there are different dubs for the French and French Canadian versions. My guess is the region 1 DVDs (the ones I have) have the French Canadian dubs.
The dubbed French version changed "Chachi" to "Charlie Chaplin". They may have kept "Tom Bosley". I don't remember and I'm too lazy to go back and check. Either way it was stupid.
I forgot how cool Angelica Huston looks in this movie. When my hair goes white this'll be the look I'm going to go for.
Cool! Keep us posted!
Strangely, while I agree with the grade and the review I found this one to be the most accessible book of the trilogy. I didn't particularly like Jimmy (although I thought Crake was fascinating) and the Gardeners didn't interest me much either so it was my trust in Atwood that kept me reading the first two. I would…
Again? This stupid country….
His F.Scott Fitzgerald in Midnight in Paris is what did it for me. He's very dashing.
It was just "Paulie". Still worth track down the ep though.
Yep, but the few times he uses "Walt" he loads it up so much sneering contempt. I really hope he just uses Walt for the rest of the season.
No, but I'll take that tie rack motor if you still have it.
Maybe it's because I've seen this one so many times that the obvious stuff doesn't have the same impact, but the "put a pan down there"/pan floats away bit is the one that really makes me LOL these days.
