You should really check out Raymond Carver's "What We Talk About When We Talk About Da Vinci Fighting Dracula".  It covers all the bases.

That one was a surprise LOL moment for me.  Just love her enthusiasm.

Same!  That's why I loved Michael and Lindsay's super long conference hug, too.

@avclub-c3ec0d7895f9fea85c6818ffe83f7d84:disqus I think it has something to do with it being a stationary shot, too.  As much as you want it to, that camera is not going to turn away.

Agreed. Bond should wear more V neck sweaters.

I loved his supervillian Julian Assange.

I thought Maguire sold the hell out of "they're a rotten crowd" and that part did that make me tear up a bit.

Cool.  I'm glad we're being thorough. :)

Yeah I liked it too.  DiCaprio was perfect.   It was a bit much at times but Lurhmann was surprisingly good at letting some of the more intimate scenes breathe (the Plaza scene, for example, lacked stylish excess).  I also have to say I've read the book a couple of times and seen the Redford movie, yet I wasn't bored

So…..no one is going to advocate for Huck Finn, then?  I'm sure as hell not going to do it, but it usually comes up during a GAN discussion.

Don't worry.  Just add some more string to the ball in the attic.

But it doesn't tell you you CAN'T go.  That line was one of those things I learned from the Simpsons that turned out not to be true.  Also cars don't have 40 bucks of steel in them and Fox doesn't own chemical weapon plants in Syria.

Urgh.  Why couldn't they get the actual Michelle Williams?  Or Kirsten Dunst?  Someone who looks like she's lived a little?

I KNOW!  It's exactly like Rebecca! I can't believe they didn't riff on that!  There is quite a bit of Gaslight in there too (most movies can't take much.)

I…don't hate The Undead.  It's not great (not 3 stars), but it isn't as bad as Mike and the bots make it out to be.  Yeah Corman CAN be lazy, but it felt like they were making an effort with that one. Apparently the original script was in iambic pentameter, which, while insane, proves my point.

I would implicate Never Let Me Go too, but I have an easier time believing Ishiguro never saw Parts: The Clonus Horror.

I would probably see a decent remake of Leech Woman.  There is a kernel of a good idea in there somewhere.

1000x yes to this.

A friend of mine suggested Anna Farris, which might work.  I thought maybe Kristen Chenoweth but if they're going for Tatum as Nathan she's probably too old.

This comment isn't geting nearly enough love.
