You know… I don't get it. Dummies just don't scare me at all… I mean, I kinda get why they ought to but they just don't. I seem immune from the cultural terror of them - the only time I have seen one used in an interesting way was in the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" episode.

I gotta say… its sad to see the show getting ready to leave us but… the last couple seasons have drilled into fans that maybe this shows best times are well past it and it might be best for it to end before it completely destroys its legacy.

You are correct… I wish the show might try to do something with that someday. Because there are at least three or four times I can think of where what the Doctor does might not be all that helpful…

I am relatively curious at the scales used to determine whether something is "Confusing" or "Complex" here. "Journey to the center of the TARDIS" was mentioned as being a very complex plot and… to me it seemed quite straightforward. It looped and everything but it wasn't complex.

It seems to me that there are two possible points of entry for this Doctor. Either he is the version that brought an end to the TIme War and caused genocide twice over (possibly more) or he is a version before Hartnell that caused the (Somewhat murky) attempt at a revolution on Gallifrey. Unless there is something

As a long time fan of the show (I started in the Pertwee years toward the end) something that fans need to know is this : To be a fan of the show is to be a fan of the show. It is not to be a fan of one doctor because to like the show you have to embrace change on a rather constant basis.

Something that I thought was rather ironic that the episode sort of subtly pointed out without saying it outright : The Doctor is the person that wants to heal people…. yet it is pointed out that every time he travels he opens wounds in the timestream and hurts the universe a bit.

“I don’t know what make believe world I was living in. I just literally thought after the wedding, poof! Amazing house, amazing car. It wasn’t that at all. We got married, and the struggle and the grind is still happening,”
Oh - so the show is about complete nincompoops with only about 1/4 of a brain between them. Good

You know, I do have to single out Warwick Davis in this episode for praise. When I saw him I inwardly groaned out "Oh great - a small person that is there for comedy relief"… And then he started acting and I was actually impressed with the character in a way that struck me as one of the better guest characters on the

Totally off the wall theory… What if Clara is actually the Doctor?

Back when Carson was hosting, it actually wasn't entirely a waste. Leno… Sorry, but he never grabbed me as a good host. Carson made it look easy. Leno makes it look like he is working at it too hard.

Oh… pity poor Leno. My heart leaps for his misery of being on a fifth place network. Perhaps he will leave and go to TBS where he can shove Conan O'Brien out of that gig too.

I tend to agree with the narrative leap of Clara… but at the same time, every episode has to make some shortcuts. And spending 45 minutes showing Clara going slowly from a more (and slightly smart) reticent position to being a commanding presence might be fun but that would cut into the story proper, so I am willing

One of the great things about B5 was that it's alien races felt thought out… they weren't just random bits of rubber glued to a face.

I mean, I watch "Animal House" and I feel like an elderly person since all I want to do is say "Well, these hooligans ought to be expelled - they are obviously being mean that that dean and the other frats…"

Well, that's true… but then again, Trek never really had the time to really delve into it's species like that. DS9 did and it went over fabulously, but TNG, TOS, Voyager and Enterprise had to content themselves with looking more and more closely at Klingons and Vulcans (And in the case of Klingons… to less an less

Is it wrong that I have watched "Animal House" at least three times now based on friends telling me I am missing something… and have yet to laugh at it?

You know… I was never a fan of Stephen Furst on "Animal House" or  "St Elsewhere" nor was I interested in him when he was on a short lived music video parody show. But on B5, that guy got to be great… and the speech he gives on this episode was so memorable that it alone made up for all his other roles. I wish he had

Actually, it's kind of sad that they let Tate fade… I didn't like her character, but she is a talented enough comedic actress that, if the writers had really wanted to, could have emerged as a great addition to the show.

Well, I haven't cared for Andy since roughly… well, six episodes after he was introduced. Ed Helms has lots of comedic chops but the character of Andy was just never used in any consistent way and became a goof for whatever the writers wanted him to be that week.
