Yeah I was confused by the fact that they didn't address that. It could have easily been lamp-shaded easily by saying he was a gymnast in High-School or something.

I'd be interested to see more of Courtney. She seems like a fun character. Wouldn't want her to become a full-time companion though. A cameo or two would be interesting though. It would be nice to have a character with a nebulous moral compass. We haven't had that since Ace and she was by far my favourite ever

I think he was concerned the closure of the school would arouse the interest of the authorities.

I didn't think of that. Great observation.

It seemed like a public school in an upper middle class area to me.

His god complex and arrogance are pretty well established traits that exist in all incarnations, but then it's sometimes justified.

I like that they set up the Soldier / Time Lord dynamic in the previous episode. I think Pinks comments about the Time Lords being the officers / aristocracy and the soldiers being beneath them is probably a pretty accurate description of Gallifreyan society (at least in this iteration of the show). The guy who enters

Lol, yeah, way to treat a gay dude like a condescending woman from the 90s

How many characters on this show have seemingly died only to be resurrected so far? Or in the MCU in general for that matter? Couple this with Lawless' statements in the press that she will return and the importance of the casting announcement and it's all but confirmed that she will be brought back. Don't be so naive.

They could always do what Farscape did with Scorpius and have him almost redeem himself only to become a full-fledged villain again.

Yeah, but it tends to only happen when the character is well-liked e.g. Ben Linus from Lost

That scene was straight out of silence of the lambs, but I'd describe his character as being more like Todd from Breaking Bad i.e. seemingly nice guy who is actually completely insane. Of course nowhere near as well-executed.

That was one of the few episodes of season 1 I really loved and it was one of the only ones with an actual superhero type premise. I don't think that's a coincidence.

Turning Ward evil was one of the few things the first season got right. That actor seems incapable of playing anything other than a charming but boring attractive guy, making him a homicidal sociopath actually gives him an interesting dynamic. I'm worried they might be loading the show with too many characters though

I am far more excited than I should be about Lucy Lawless playing a recurring character. The only thing that I am a little sad about is that it probably rules her out of ever playing Captain Marvel, but then I doubt she was in the running anyway if marvel are even ever going to get around to doing anything with the

Shows with a great second season usually go on to suck after that. Look at House, Dexter for a few recent examples.

Did no-one like Dodgeball? I liked Dodgeball.

I might start watching this show in about seven years when it starts actually being about Batman. I couldn't give less of a shit about Bruce Wayne when he was a child, before he did anything interesting.

Out of all the actors that finished Heath Ledgers role in the Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus he was the the best. I think I was the only person who loved that film though.

Killer Joe was the film that turned me around on him. It's a shame it was too dark and fucked up for him to win the academy award for. Awarding it for Dallas Buyers Club felt like they were making up for lost time.
