I saw August: Osage County during the premiere run at Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago.  It was definitely one of the best theatre experiences of my life.  I hope the movie turns out well.  With that script and talent attached, it has good chances.

I saw a production of Killer Joe in Chicago which was totally awesome.  I'm not surprised by the MPAA reaction, given their history.  I think the scene of brutality they're referring to is one in which Matthew M's character forces a woman to fellate a chicken bone.  Pretty intense stuff.

I also agree.  Netflixed that shit expecting it to be fairly good and found it be mostly fuckin' lame and stupid.  Ben Affleck's character and Jeremy Renner's character come across as total idiots.  Fuck the Town.
