Nip/Tuck is so batshit crazy I always kinda enjoyed it.  And most of their plotlines only last for 3-6 episodes so if you don't like it, it doesn't really matter because they'll bring some totally new crazy on the next disc.

I agree!   And I think it is weird to say that the plot didn't move from episode to episode.   Sharon and her girlfriend moved forward well, Jaye and Eric, Jaye getting closer to her family, Jaye figuring out what she wants.  It all worked so nicely.

I liked it because it reminded of the Masters of Horror episode "On and off a Mountain Road" that mashed up a hitch hicker who is a killer with a guy who picks up hitch hikers to kill them

I laughed out loud when he showed up in Lincoln cause his character from this show is such a pervy weirdo it was funny to see him talking to the president.

Malick is a talented man, but I don't know if writing and directing are really his strong suits.   I think he could be one of the best cinematographers of all time, but I've never personally felt very moved by any of his storytelling.
